JUNCTION BOX MOUNTING
The strobe light may be front mounted using a steel adaptor and a 4" x 4" octagon box.
1. Remove two screws that hold lamp shield and reflector and discard screws.
2. Place self adhesive foam gasket with adhesive against bottom of strobe light.
3. Mount the adaptor to the box with (2) #8 - 32 machine screws of the octagon box.
4. Connect (+) red wire to (+) control panel alarm wire and (-) black wire to (-) control panel wire. Solder wires and wrap using electrical tape.
5. Position connection in box as strobe light is mounted using (2) #8 32 x 2-1/2 inch screws (furnished). Do not overtighten screws.
6. For outdoor mounting, recess the octangon box. If wall surface is rough, level it first with RTV rubber sealant or caulk around rim before seating strobe light. POLE MOUNTING
The strobe light may be rear mounted to a pole using a lamp holder.
Obtain a four (4) inch lamp holder and gasket such as Hubbell #206-BC3, Bell #3381 or equivalent for 1/2 inch pipe from a lighting fixture store or an electrical supply house. Also obtain additional supplies for right angle or straight mounting as required.
RIGHT ANGLE POLE MOUNTING
1. Assemble strobe light to lamp holder rear with cork gasket between them. Use (2) #10 - 32 screws (furnished) to hold strobe light to lamp holder. Make sure wires come through gasket and lamp holder. Do not overtighten screws.
2. Mount assembly to 90° condulet with a 1/2 inch I.D. nipple bringing wires into inlet box (cover removed).
3. Connect (+) red wire to control panel wire and (-) black wire to (-) control panel wire. Solder wires and wrap using electrical tape and replace cover.
4. Seal around base of rim with RTV rubber sealant or caulk.
STRAIGHT POLE MOUNTING
1. Secure lamp holder on 1/2 inch 10 pipe.
2. Bring alarm terminal wire sthrough pipe, lamp holder and cork gasket.
3. Connect (+) red wire to control panel wire and (-) black wire to (-) control panel wire. Solder wires and wrap using electrical tape.
4. Assemble strobe light to lamp holder with gasket between them. Use (2) # 10 - 32 screws (furnished) to hold strobe light to lamp holder. Dress connections so they stay within lampholder recess. Do not overtighten screws.
5. Seal around base of rim with RTV rubber sealant or caulk.
WARNING: High voltage is present in this unit. Return to authorized personnel for repair.
CAUTION: Wait (5) five minutes after disconnecting power before opening circuits chamber, to allow capacitors time to discharge. Use ONLY designated voltage. Warranty is void if light is connected to any other voltage.
LENS
TO ATTACH LENS
Locate lens over strobe light and twist lens firmly clockwise until it snaps firmly in place.
TO REMOVE LENS
Twist lens counterclockwise until it snaps out of the tablocks and lift off.
